Why Kimbia exists

Your data, your sovereignty. Hosted in Europe.

A training journal records far more than kilometres: the injuries, the breakthroughs, the summer at your peak, the winter in retreat. It is an archive that grows with you, season after season. That story is worth too much to stay locked in an app that can shut down overnight.

Our conviction is simple: the data belongs to the person who earned it - in the sweat, the kilometres, the alarms before sunrise. Kimbia hosts it for you, in Europe, by default. And if one day you'd rather host it yourself, or with another provider, no problem: you move everything.

"Every split, every beat, every plan - you take them wherever you go."

Start on your own, progress self-coached with the tools, then invite a real coach when you want to go further - Kimbia is with you at every step. And we build first for the sports we actually do ourselves: running and cycling, lived from the inside.

Training lives in Kimbia. Social lives on Bluesky - the open network built on atproto, where your followers and conversations may already be. No starting from scratch. And between two workouts, a stroll through #running or #cycling is all it takes to find new training companions.

A week is a unit of training. Kimbia reads that way too - one row per week, seven days side by side, each session tinted by its volume. And when you head out for several days - a hike, a trek, a bike trip - an adventure ties the days together. Tap a day to open it; scroll back through a season. Your years live on a single page.

From a few races, Kimbia computes your VDOT - the scientific cousin of your MAS (VMA) - and draws every training pace. It's the reference you - or your coach - use to set each workout pace.
